This is something special. Founded by Raymond Plat coming from De Lindehof and 212 (if you know, you know) you know food will be good, but that is not what makes this restaurant a very special place. It's the soul and the vision of its owners that shines through. Pure hospitality and a great dinner against reasonable prices.

Coming through the door at Troef, you are instantly greeted with a firm handshake, a friendly "Hi, my name is..." and a smile from ear to ear. Without saying a word it is like they tell you: "Great to see you, feel at home, enjoy our food and leave the hooha at the door".

The food follows the same principle. Instead of overly complicated dishes, and a thousand components, evolving more around the ego of the chef than the flavour, Troef just serves tasty food... Classic dishes, revisited. Troef is aimed at making you a happy human. Sounds simple, but it is very hard, and Troef succeeds.
