De Tapperij.. Let's hope they will never close their doors..

You will never find this restaurant if you weren't tipped about it by, lets say.. Chef's Library. And even if you would, you would never get a reservation unless you knew to make a reservation well a week in advance.. because you were advised to do so by lets say.. Chef's Library. De Tapperij is always fully booked, and that means always. And rightfully so. It has everything a really good restaurant needs to have for you to want to come back again, and again and again.

The food is amazing. Classic french, executed to perfection. Deep, balanced flavours! Which is already not something every chef can do, but De Tapperij's menu even changes daily.. they write it on a chalkboard. Apart from just great food, the ambiance is unique. The restaurant is not big, however they've not let themself be tempted to pack every cm of space with chairs and tables. It spacious and feels comfortable and inviting.

Finally, Yves clearly puts his heart and soul into every night of service. He understands hospitality like no other and was put on the face of earth for it. You can't fake his commitment, personality and the vibe he personally gives De Tapperij. It is unlike anything else in the area of The Hague. Let's hope they will never close their doors..
