About an hour's drive from the coastline overlooking the scenic, artist epicentre, Saint-Paul de Vence, Alain Llorca runs his one michelin-starred restaurant together with his brother Jean-Michel the pastry chef. The restaurant offers a more rustic, yet authentic and luxurious, feel than most michelin-starred restaurant giving it its unique charm. The cuisine is clean, fresh, focussed on fresh earthy produce and aimed at highlighting the local cuisine of Marseille. Known for, amongst others: Bouillabaisse.
Besides their market lunch menu, the restaurant also serves a evening menu (99 EUR for 4 courses) a Truffle menu (180 EUR for 4 courses) and a their 9 course tasting menu for 230 EUR. This all seems quite pricy, but compared to similar establishments in the Cote d'Azur it is very reasonable. Especially taking into account the beautiful view of the surroundings...
